Panzani and Casagrande started working on “The Drops” project at the end of 2008 in Paris. They have been musical partners for a long time and they were willing to put their energies together in an original band. The name of the band is a symbol for the co- existence in each human being of individuality and being part of a single cosmic lux. Both of them being influenced in their jazz language by rock and pop, with this recording they state their own sound.

They found the perfect rhythmic engine for the irst re-cord, “Falling from the sky” , in Ted Poor, who from the very first moment completely fitted the music and completed the idea that Panzani and Casagrande had in mind.

The recording took place in N.Y. in September 2009 and the CD has been released by Hyenas records in November 2010. They already did a tour in France and Italy in November 2010 with Ferenc Nemeth on drums.

At the Arsenal Theatre of Metz they played a double concert with the John Scoield Trio.
